PRESENCE OS
Biometric workforce and access management for ZKTeco terminals.
PRESENCE OS connects ZKTeco biometric terminals to a modern web dashboard, turning raw punches into attendance, shifts, payroll-ready reports and access control. Your data stays on your own server.
On-premise data on your own PostgreSQL database. Cloud licensing with an offline grace period.
How PRESENCE OS Works
A 4-stage pipeline connecting ZKTeco biometric terminals to your on-premise dashboard.
ZKTeco Biometric Terminal
Connects with ZKTeco biometric terminals over the ADMS (ICLOCK) push protocol. Captures verified biometric punches (face, fingerprint, RFID, palm) and pushes events in real time.
PRESENCE OS Server
Dedicated on-premise middleware listening on the ADMS port. Validates hardware push events, executes remote terminal commands, and commits records directly to your local PostgreSQL database.
Web Dashboard
Modern web dashboard displaying the live punch feed, department metrics, rotational and overnight shift patterns, overtime rules, and automated CSV/PDF report exports.
Self-Service Portal & Reports
Mobile-friendly browser portal for employees to review personal timesheets, check attendance logs, and submit leave requests or shift swaps.
Four Pillars of PRESENCE OS
Engineered for enterprise terminal management, automated shift rules, and verified on-premise attendance.
Terminals and biometric sync
Connects with ZKTeco terminals over the ADMS (ICLOCK) push protocol, providing real-time punch capture and remote hardware sync.
Attendance, shifts and analytics
Comprehensive live monitor and analytics engine with customizable shift patterns, overtime logic, and daily export schedules.
Payroll and employee self-service
Direct payroll calculations from verified attendance hours alongside a mobile-friendly web portal for employee requests.
Access control and administration
Hardware access control groups, door timezone schedules, granular role-based permissions, and immutable administrative audit logs.
Under the Hood
Technical specifications for system administrators and deployment engineers.
License checks transmit only organization ID and subscription token. Attendance records remain on-premise, and operations continue uninterrupted during internet outages under an offline grace period.
Runs on Windows Server 2016+ or Windows 10/11 Pro (64-bit). Terminals must be network-routed to the ADMS gateway server port.
PRESENCE OS vs Manual Attendance Workflows
How modern push synchronization compares to legacy manual processes.
| Topic | Manual or Legacy Workflow | PRESENCE OS |
|---|---|---|
| Interface | Desktop-only tools | Web dashboard |
| Data from devices | Manual USB export or polling | Push sync over ADMS |
| Payroll inputs | Spreadsheet calculation | Payroll calculation from attendance hours |
| Data location | Depends on the tool | On your own server |
| Setup | Manual | Guided installer |
